MacKenzie Kassab is a writer whose work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, The Cut, Glamour, Kinfolk and more. She is currently in house as Director of Creative Strategy at Rare Beauty, where she founded (and continues to write) the brand’s popular Substack.
For nearly 15 years, MacKenzie has explored storytelling in various formats. Following a post as editor of Time Out Beirut magazine, she earned recognition as an undercover reporter on The Dream podcast, exposing predatory practices in multilevel marketing. In a not-so-distant past life, she was a publicist for high-profile beauty brands in New York City.
Raised outside Boston, MacKenzie spent eight years in a Lebanon before returning to the U.S. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, and a cat rescued from the streets of Beirut.
